Im seeing so many articles about him and on my social media pages, FB and Twitter, everyones posting and reposting Mayor Pete quotes and articles.
Im guessing if the Biden campaign is giving him this much exposure they have big plans for him. Where do we think he might land in a Biden-Harris administration?

(488 posts)He inspirational and communication is obama-esque but there's too many older people who simply cant vote for a gay man unfortunately. and 2020 was definitely not the year for the democratic party to take that risk. His time will come though and i'm looking forward to it. Many think he would make a great secretary of state or chief of staff.

(5,529 posts)In a heart beat. He is too smart and well rounded to pigeon hole into any specific role.
But I suspect he will start as the Press Secretary. He is great at that but I think it underutilizes him.
I still think he will be Chief of Staff before the 4 years is up.

(32,017 posts)Usually, you want to give that job to somebody who is hard-working, loyal, and who knows everyone in Washington. Pete is hard-working and loyal, but his Washington connections are a bit weak. That said, Pete is one of those people that everyone in Washington WANTS to know, and hes an articulate, level-headed manager. If he and Joe see eye-to-eye on enough key issues, I think he would make a superb Chief of Staff.

(3,826 posts)I don't know what they have planned, but I think that's it's safe to assume he will have a prominent role and if it's a cabinet position, it will be a "good" one.

(1,406 posts)I love him because he knows how to take the main issues to people in a way they can accept without all those political talking points that so many keep spewing. I would love for him to keep appearing on FOX to give their viewers information they never had.

(88 posts)But it wont be press secretary or chief of staff. As much as we all want to see more of Pete, he will be given a higher position in the administration. Pete will make another run at President someday And a position of higher authority will be best for him. More like Secretary of State or even Secretary of Defense. Keep in mind he is a naval officer.

(1,204 posts)I'm not saying this will be Mayor Pete's appointment, but it should be. The US needs to repair some major wounds around the world and Pete is the man to do it.
