That's at the core of their very rotten apple.

I know I may be being simplistic and generalizing, but there seems to be two kinds of republicans, basically:

1. The wealthy ones along a spectrum.

2. The people whom they can convince to vote against their own self-interest.

One tends to be very crafty at the kind of deception required to do that and the other tends to be low-information, misinformed, naive and easily manipulated.

They jump in the political bed together and get jiggy. The latter gets screwed royally again and again and then thanks the former.
