No post office shenanigans, thankfully. Obviously somebody could still find 'something' wrong with it once they open it, but at least they received it.

1. Nice! We're still waiting to get our ballots in the mail!

It’s getting to be a long story now. We got texts and notices they were being sent and would arrive within 5 to 7 business days. Never came.

We called the County and they said those messages were in error and they were just now being sent out. That was already 5 business days ago. We’re getting agitated about it. If we don’t get them in 2 days, we’re driving to the County office for an explanation.

3. Validating the ballot is a hand process and takes some time. Check back in a few days

My ballot was mailed on 05 Oct, received on 06 Oct, but wasn't processed and accepted until 08 Oct, exactly seven days after I received it in the mail. Curiously, I received the state voter information booklet on the seventh, but our county office of registrar had the foresight to send a tailored voter information guide specifically for my district.

Despite was the orange anus is trying to tell us, the system is working. And speaking of working, it looks link the union printers have been working overtime

5. What happens if the candidate changes between now and Nov 3rd?

I have long been skeptical of early voting just in case a candidate becomes unable or unwilling to continue.
Is my vote now wasted?
