I'm willing to bet the reason there hasn't been a second stimulus

Is that us Democrats would donate it to our candidates. It seems a lot of our candidates have outraised Republicans by a large margin.

I for one would donate most of it. Just donated to McGrath and Jaime Harrison and plan more when I get paid.

The Senate just doesn’t want to keep running up the deficit, regardless of how many millions are under employed or unemployed. I know dozens of people who were just let go from high paying jobs. They need money

That is easy to solve with proper taxation rates and controlling military spending along with corporate welfare.

They don’t want the lower classes to drink from the same fountain as the upper classes.

No doubt they will have suddenly have huge problems with any and all spending (except defense) when Biden takes the oath of office.

Wouldn't be a big factor but then McGrath has outraised moscow bitch. I wouldn't be surprised either way. I haven't been very active in politics since Bush but I always voted D. But Trump has cost me my job and among other things.

Trump pissed me off to jump back into politics. So tired of him and his base.

Stimulus won't boost the economy in time for the election, so they figure they get nothing out of it except yet more deficit which they figure democrats will make rich people pay when we get control over tax laws next year....

You raise an interesting point, though I think timing affects that, too. Any stimulus they pass won't reach Americans until after the election.

As for me, I donated half to a homeless shelter, the other half to a food bank.

One that they think will be insurmountable. They will then blame all of the problems on the Biden admin and try to re-take the House and Senate in 2022.

And why repukes haven’t found it in their hearts to do their jobs and pass real comprehensive relief.

I am fortunate enough to currently not be on the brink, but I know how easy it is to slide into financial trouble. I used some of my relief check to buy supplies for friends and family that need extra support. Have people in my life that could fall at any time, if not my own circumstances.

Can’t go to concerts, there’s a line going through my tv, and before I quit drinking in January so I could have more energy and funds every month to take on what I knew would be a difficult political fight.

Coronavirus relief isn’t a windfall, it’s a life line.

But I'd sacrifice the money towards helping our candidates win.

I finally got a decent job earlier this year and have a plan to pay down our debt when I was laid off. Trump has hurt everyone in America except for people like him.
