Does anyone else see the possibility that Barrett is being obtuse and evasive mainly because she does not want Trump to pull her nomination ?. In other words, she realizes that Trump is unpredictable and insane, and that until she is actually confirmed, Trump can pull her nomination if she says something he does not like, so she is being coy in order not to endanger her seat.

No, her dissembling is the classic evasion tactic I've seen with True Believers who practice Lying for the Lord, they have this morally coy attitude in public where you can never pin down what they are actually saying. Also, I'm sure she was expecting more of an attack on her religiosity, or her conservative views, instead they were basically ignoring her and going after her backers.
