I think it's time to call this brand of Republicans, Retro Federalist Republicans.

6. The word for that is actually "reactionary".

Instead of being called “conservative “, todays Republicans are more properly called radical reactionaries. But for some reasons, Dems and the media were and are content to allow them to coast by as “conservatives”.
