Early voters skyrocket to 20,000-plus in Franklin County (OH) as Biden launches new ads in Ohio
Franklin County voters continue to swarm the Board of Elections to cast early ballots.
Through the first week of early voting, more than 20,000 already have locked in their selection for president and other races. That's more than double the 9,900 who cast an early in-person ballot in 2016, and 50% more than the 14,000 from 2012 when Ohioans had an additional week to vote early.
More than 4,000 voters cast ballots on both Sunday and Monday at the elections board on Morse Road.
Democrats are dominating the tally in the blue county, with 55% of the total early in-person votes to 6% for Republicans. Unaffiliated voters represent 39% of the total, with minor parties making up the rest.
Meanwhile, as President Donald Trump remains dark on local Ohio TV stations, Joe Biden's campaign is launching another series of ads in the suddenly winnable Buckeye State.
