Trump: Suburban women, will you please like me?

Trump at his rally last night: "So I ask you to do me a favour. Suburban women, will you please like me? Please. Please. I saved your damn neighbourhood, OK? The other thing: I don't have that much time to be that nice. You know, I can do it, but I gotta go quickly."

Suburban women: HELL NO

Trump is about to start attacking suburban women. It is a given. They have collectively turned their backs on his crude 1950’s assessment of who they are, and he is reduced to begging them to like him at his super spreader events. And as they undoubtedly overwhelming reject these pleas from a nasty, racist, misogynistic egomaniac he is minutes away from trying to win their support to going after them. You can tell that from his sarcastic and threatening undertone even as he pleaded for support. Trumps fundamental flaw, certainly when it comes to winning re-election, is that he cannot believe that people do not support him for anything other than nefarious purposes, so he turns them into the enemy. Blue States, BLM, Soldiers, you name it, he weaponizes demonising language when he either feels threatened by a particular demographic, or when he is polling really badly with them. Suburbs and Seniors are about to become his newest ‘enemies’ in his orange head of ego. I would bet on it.

Every choice that the Trump campaign is making at the moment is cringe making and really poor judgement. To quote Napoleon…Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. Begging suburban women to like him or they may not like the consequences?!?! While at a super spreader event, in the time of an out of control pandemic. Yeah that will work👀 It is like watching a 3-week slow motion car crash. Good oh!

1.07 seconds

"Do me a favor." "Will you please like me?"

The end is so disgusting because he implies that having a low income family in the neighborhood ruins it! What a Neanderthal.

on edit: this one is worth watching for the makeup alone. He's almost to the "phantom of the opera" stage.

For Trump it is a list of one, "keeping the you know who's and the you know what's out of your neighborhood". He cannot understand how getting rid of that regulation he thinks they don't like doesn't result in support. His pea brain cannot fathom any other issue they might be concerned about.

He is not much more adept with seniors, confused about the lack of support while doubling down on the mishandling of the pandemic, and for good measure throw in the insults of Biden calling him a doddering old fool who belongs in a nursing home.

And let's not forget one of his only other outreaches for support outside his base, the Hispanic vote. Does he offer an olive branch on immigration policy, even a fake one or suggest anything to help low wage essential workers? No, he is certain that having the CEO of a bean company visit the White House will win them over.

Plus, all of the groups that he insults with his ham-fisted outreach are half women.
