People need to be careful. People must safely vote Trump out!
But the media better make damn sure Americans know what is going on right effing now!
Cases are rising and hospitalizations are up!! This is while Trump is parading around and joking about the pandemic. He is holding rallies where people are squeezed together and it is horrible!!

(11,831 posts)insomnia last night and found out that Illinois doesn't want people from Indiana and that we are in (according to one website) an uncontained (or was it uncontrolled?) outbreak. Gov. Holcomb lifted the sanctions and the cases have been steadily rising.

(4,429 posts)Here in VT, we are doing most of what we need to. Everyone wears a mask - there are not fights about it, really. And our cases are low (relative to the country). But I know it will go up, nonetheless.
I have friends who left FL to 'hide' up in New England - but went out to stores, went out to eat, visited with friends - and caught it.
Without leadership at the top - what more can be done
Very sad. More will die and we'll jeopardize our health care workers.

(9,267 posts)And she did everything right. Rarely goes out, always wears a mask to the grocery store. Pretty sure her son brought it home from school - even though they wear masks all day, keep their distances and he doesnt ride the bus. Shes getting better and only she and the boy tested positive. DH and myself, her husband and 2 girls all tested negative. Her son had no symptoms. Still terrified for her. You can do everything right and still get it.

(4,429 posts)so I worry. I made my peace with the fact that sending her was a risk - and told her before the year started that *I* accepted that I might get it by sending her to school.
It's her senior year. We have a low rate of cases here. And she is old enough to be careful (though young enough to not understand careful in the same way I do).
It's hard.
