Are we accepting her as a new Justice?
Why should any Republican even consider sticking their neck out by straying from Mitch's pasture if "even the Democrats" think will undoubtedly be approved?
Do I know it is highly likely that she will be approved? Of course.
Do I want to accept that as inevitable? Hell, no.
Do I care if you call me unrealistic? Hell, no.

(19,264 posts)Every Republican will vote for her. Literally nothing she could say in this "hearing" will have any impact on the vote.
Feel free to not accept it as inevitable but it is. If by some miracle something prevents the final vote prior to the election they will just railroad here though in the lame duck session.

How many votes do you need to see to believe Mitch has the votes and the Republicans will vote by party lines.
