And if it's shakier than that, you know it's BULLSHIT.

(45,003 posts)Twitter and Facebook are doing okay zapping these lies today. More important, the story has flipped and now features the Republican fraudmakers. Possibly forgers. Glorious blowback. Will Giuliani be arrested for this shit?

Rudy Giuliani committed a crime by receiving stolen goods.
Looks like there are enough crimes to go around.

(95,247 posts)I expect state law has been broken in Delaware, where a Democrat governs. Always on the courteous assumption any of this is true.
I wonder if there could be a way to apply some sort of fraud charge, if money changed hands at points along the path, as it likely did, and if the contents 'sold' were not as described. Admission it was made-up, and known to false all around, would of course be a perfect defense.

Going to put that laptop back on eBay, bidding starts at $1M!
Seriously though, as a conspiracy concept that 'Hunter Biden' laptop deserves a medal - or something.

'Okay, I know my coat was left in the trashed principles office, but I didn't do it.'
'That wasn't me hiding on the air ducts in the girl's locker room, because I was the one who sprang into action and tried to catch the culprit. Can I have my phone back that I dropped up there?'

'No, we weren't joyriding with the missing Drivers Ed car, we were practicing to make sure we got everything perfect in class. Maybe the Drivers Ed teacher made all those donuts on the football field, put all those dents in it, and fled the police.'
'That wasn't me who downloaded porn into every classroom computer to open when they were turned on. Maybe a glitch happened when I logged in after hours to do my homework, since it was traced back to my IP home address.'

(1,654 posts)I have an about 6 year old laptop and a few other not even identified electronic devices and I drop them off at a random IT repair shop to a guy who does not even come out front in the shop and log them in so his customers can identify him, apparently don't sign anything to even say what I want done. Because there is more than one item, said repairman assumes I'm "rich" and because there is a Beau Biden Foundation sticker on the laptop I presume it belongs to Hunter Biden and decide to copy the hard drive. How does even the beginning of this story make any sense? Not to mention "his emails" having weird or missing metadata. Oh, and by the way, actually my schedule says I'm on the other end of the continent when this happened.
This guy shouldn't be afraid for his life from unnamed people, he should be afraid of losing is business license for whatever the charge is for this kind of thing.
I think originally this wasn't supposed to be the actual October surprise. This was supposed to be one more thing to make Biden seem dirtier. They really thought Biden would be a lot more "dirtied up" by now, but as the previous attempts by Trump himself, Trump's surrogates, Fox, et al haven't been very successful, this one lands all alone and gets a lot more scrutiny than they thought it would letting so many of us to say "Is that all there is?"
There's probably more coming so we have to keep our eyes open and ready to rebut, but this is so unbelievable it sounds like a plot out of a TV show that got rejected.
