All done!!!

Got ballot yesterday and very very carefully read it all and filled it out very carefully and before I tucked it away I checked it 6 times. I then took it to the ballot box today and made sure I gave it a firm shove and heard it fall onto other ballots. All done. GO BIDEN!!!

As your ballot hit the bottom of the box my neighbor pulled ALL his Trump and local Repug candidate signs, SEVEN of them. Never thought I'd see the day.

5. That was my big event for the day too!

I had a 64 mile round trip but it was well worth it. I didn't realize that in-person voting would be happening in my county but that's what I saw when I got to the county seat. I always vote by mail or drop off so I don't care that much but the entry and a separate room had voting stations set up maybe eight or ten of them and there seemed to be a steady flow of early voters. It was good to see as were all the yard signs for Biden and Bullock in places I didn't expect to see them.

The rest of the day was challenging but the ballot drop-off turned out to be the highlight of the day.

6. I never thought I would ever be excited about getting a pamphlet and ballot

I actually jumped up and down when I got my pamphlet. I gave out a loud sqeaul when I got my ballot. I live in an apartment complex with the mailbox inside. I gave a woohoo after I got my ballot in the box. I think I am mentally loosing it.

It could be an illness, but I rarely miss one. I love having the luxury of voting from my own private place and then taking the ballot either to the mail, which is what I usually do, or a drop box if I go out to where a drop off is located. Montana wants us to vote, they have registration forms everywhere including any correspondence you might get from the state. I see registration tables at almost every grocery store and other places you wouldn't think of in other states.

Did a little dance inside the door when the landlady, we share a mailbox, handed it to me.

I waited until I closed the door, she voted for the idiot last time but I have been working on getting her to see why she should change her mind this time, otherwise, we try to not talk politics for the sake of peace on the ranch. So I talk about everything around the subject and coax her into realizing that we need change. She's kind of a low info voter, but a very nice person so I am careful to keep the conversation ongoing without naming names or pointing fingers... it isn't easy sometimes.

Say things gently here and there and enjoy it when they start getting these "ah ha" moments. Don't push it though, you need to let those "ah ha" moments to sink in. They just can't handle much at a time.
