15. Our television doesn't have any "channels."

It plays Netflix and DVDs.

We can 'cast other stuff to our television from our phones and laptops but mostly we don't. (We 'cast the Democratic National Convention, for example.)

Curiously, I used to work for a cable company that Comcast later bought.

That was a long time ago, when the technology was primitive and few cable systems had more than ten channels.

For The Movie Channel I'd cue up tapes in the player and make sure the movies started on time. When some technical glitch caused a delay I'd put up the "technical difficulties" card and the phones would start ringing.

5. NBCUniversal's control over Maddow

She is their anchor on MSNBC and she's stating the obvious, contentiousness aside: It is odd! What's the worse they could do when they let Chuckles Todd embarrass the business with the Trump Town Hall by NBC News.

6. The one thing that might come from it is a ratings win for Biden.

Obviously I have a bias for Biden, but beyond the Kool-Aid drinkers, I would think more people would be far more interested in the challenger than the incumbent.

If Trump loses the ratings game, it might allow for hilarity to ensue.

"Is he really sick? Is he going to be an idiot again?"

But that's fine. I don't think it will help him change anyone's mind. Probably just the opposite.

But the entertainment aspect of the whole Trumpster carnival has become a little dark and I think a lot of people want to hear what the next president has to say. They can always catch the idiot on the reruns, Who wants to be the one who didn't hear the most recent version of "ask not what your country" first hand?

Regardless of hard data, Trump will always maintain his own reality. Just like the crowds at his inauguration.

9. We get to hear Trump complain (when doesn't he?) about how ABC is basic & MSNBC tiered cable.

That will be his excuse for shitty ratings.

It'll be on NBC, CNBC, MSNBC plus streaming. He won't be able to use that excuse.

And I'll be watching the Food Network.
