that would have watched both Joe and Trump if they were on different days, or at least different times. I would have probably got bored and went to doing something else if Trump was just the normal every day crazy. If he was really melting down, I may have watched it all.

There is no other reason for this than Trump wanting to take the spotlight off Biden. It may backfire on Trump. He may have more people interested in what Joe will say than would have. The contrast between Trump being an ass and Biden being presidential might really be highlighted by this.
