I think this was the 5th attempt in a week but not a single call from them gets past one ring before the robo-call killer trashes it. I can't block them because the calls all show different numbers.
Oh well. Just a few more weeks.

(16,118 posts)because I was curious. I've been a member of the Democratic party since 1984 (the first year I was eligible to vote), but they call me, probably because I live in a horrid little red town.
Anyway, they asked me if I think the media is unfair to Trump and the Republican party. LOL. I said, Nope!
The guy was silent for a second and then started on the spiel about how political donations are non-tax deductable etc.
I am glad to have used his time and cost the Republican party some money.
Still wonder where they got my name though.

(26,286 posts)It's been the same phone number, too. I inherited the house from the aunt and uncle I took care of, and just switched the phone over to my name and payment info and I've worked and voted for Democrats, from the get-go.

(16,118 posts)During the last cycle, somehow I got on a Michelle Bachmann mailing and call list.
I had a lot of fun with that one. (I'm in Iowa).

(15,253 posts)Don't let them get to you! I know it's harder than resisting the urge to jam your hand into the garbage disposal, or the overwhelming temptation to plunge red hot iron spikes into your eyes, but stay strong!

(26,286 posts)I did once get a robo call from Calista Gingrich and I hung on until a human answered the phone to get my 'contribution information'. Well, what I contributed wouldn't be accepted in any bank, anywhere and may have left the person on the other end of the line blushing.
