Travis County (TX) early voting: 17,000 voters cast ballots by lunchtime Friday

At least 17,000 people voted in person in Travis County by lunchtime Friday — the fourth day of early voting, Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir said.

Friday’s lunchtime update is 1,000 more than what was reported on Thursday at noon.

The county recorded more than 39,000 ballots cast in person on Thursday, breaking the previous day’s record of 38,119.

According to data from the county clerk’s office, about 16.44% of the county’s 855,175 registered voters, or a total of 140,588 ballots, had been cast in first three days of early voting in Travis County.

In Williamson County, more than 9,600 votes had been cast by lunchtime Friday. Williamson County data shows 21,345 votes were cast on Thursday.

More than 75,000 people voted as of 12:30 p.m. Friday in Williamson County, which is about 20.05% of its 376,931 registered voters.
