These are some of my personal favorites. What are yours?
- Windmills: Trump has stated regarding his wall that "... its a medieval solution, a wall. Its true, because it worked then, and it works even better now. Windmills were a medieval solution as well, and even go back earlier than that. And yes they work even better now. So why are windmills bad?
- John McCain: John McCain was a "disloyal" person. Self-explanatory.
- The Founding Fathers: Republicans believe that no politician should be trusted, even Republican politicians. However, they treat the writings of the Founding Fathers like they are infallible gospel. Their views override the views of modern day politicians who have more up-to-date information, period. Since the Founding Fathers were politicians themselves, how can this be?
- Conservative Fact-Checkers: Republicans claim that the conservative news media hasn't produced a plausible fact-checker website because their politicians don't need to be fact-checked. But if no "approved" fact-checker exists, what is this assertion based on?

(32,066 posts)Do your baby birthin on your own time, and dont be asking for any special favors from your work place. Were not running a charity here. Dont be asking for any time off. If you wanted to keep your job, you shouldnt have gotten pregnant. You should have kept that aspirin between your knees! Haw haw haw!
We value unborn life above all else, but once life is here, youre on your own. If you want health insurance, get a job! Or two! Private insurance companies need to make their profits! You say you need child care to work? Again, not our problem. You should have thought of that before!
No abortion allowed for any reason in Conservative Land but we dont want you sluts using birth control either. So dont expect your health insurance to pay for it, since its not a medical issue in Conservative Land.
We put women on a pedestal, you know!

(17,184 posts)The windmills of old - they were for grinding grain. The wind turned the sails, the sails turned a shaft which then turned a big grinding wheel.
Today they are called wind turbines because they produce cheap, clean power. This man has no business being in public life, let alone president of the US.

(7,439 posts)Trump and the right have been relentlessly making claims about all this illicit foreign money streaming into the Biden family, with no evidence to back any of it up. This violates the Conservative Christian core tenet of "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour".

Trump and the his "anti-tyranny party" seem to have been on the wrong side of this when they knowingly downplayed the threat of the coronavirus.
