I know, I havent had any calls, asking about my preference for any candidate.

(102,384 posts)I don't doubt I've been called for surveys, but I get too many scam calls to answer. This is a sad fact, frankly that only underscores the need for FEDS to crack down on spam calls.

(4,846 posts)I would have answered my calls if not for most of the calls from unknown callers are scam calls.

(43,049 posts)that polls are full of it, that's not how statistics works. Many, perhaps most, of us will ever be polled, but the properly run polls are still valid.
Let's say 10 polls each ask 1,000 people. 10,000/129,000,000 (the number of households in the US)= 7.2e-5. That is a very small number-- only a few thousandths of a percent chance of being called, but it reliably shows the big picture.
How, you may ask? Tough to answer here-- take a statistics course or look up the various types of random sampling.

(32,729 posts)I think the company was SSCS or something like that and said they were hired by CNN. Seem good, no loaded questions.
I lied a little and said I was a republican and voting for Joe.
