Republican commentator Charlie Sykes on Monday predicted that President Donald Trump cannot win by simply repeating his greatest hits on the campaign trail.
Its inexplicable to me that hes still campaigning against Hillary Clinton, MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell told Sykes after Trump chanted lock them up at a recent rally.
Hes playing his greatest hits, Sykes explained. Hes playing all the hits from 2016. The problem is that this time around hes fat Elvis. It feels derivitive because 2016 is a different time. Nobody cares about Hillarys emails anymore.
Yes, it is disturbing to have a president of the United States make it his signature line to imprison indict and imprison his political opponents, he noted. But this is again a guy who seems to have lost the narrative here.

(113,587 posts)attention, the "lock her up" insanity right now is about Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. You know, the governor whose kidnapping and possible assassination was plotted by some of that murdering orange traitor's sycophants??

By the way, Elvis had real talent, unlike the thug you adore.

Or just plain ol' Fat Ass.
I find myself curious about what kinds of vitals we'll finally get, after donald breathes his last. Like his REAL weight, for example. As well as his physical condition. I'm curious about his blood pressure levels, his cholesterol levels, medications he's been taking, AND how much steroid usage there's been. And will that info ever be released? Or would we have to do a formal FOI request?

(4,292 posts)Im not an Elvis fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I think that metaphor is a bit unfair to the Kings legacy.
Sure, the physical and mental declines are similar, especially factoring in alleged substance abuse. But the King actually had talent. Whereas...
And as for their fan bases, it amazes me how some people throw all reasoning aside in fanatical devotion to a performer, long after the performances spiral down.

(14,176 posts)But even with this update in the "evil emailer" angle, its a fail IMO. Only the Trump cultists, in the minority, are gullible enough to lap up all the mud that Trump throws at the wall for them.
