I am literally feet away from Yaquina Bay. Was going to go for a long bike ride, but now not sure. Guess I'll get a go bag together just in case....

It's still shaking pretty good up there. There have been seven quakes registered in the past hour, several above 5M and none below 3M.

It's situated on a submerged ledge, much like Fukushima only it hasn't broken off and fallen in... yet. I wonder if it's magma rising instead of a wall collapse.

It's the tsunami that could cause damage. I hope there isn't a tsunami all the way to WA. I know my sister is out there on the peninsula for a couple days.

A #tsunami warning remains in effect for South Alaska and the Alaska Peninsula for a magnitude 7.5 #earthquake. No warnings are in effect for anywhere else at this time.
