Damn glad Ohio isn't needed this time. I'd like a Biden win here, but won't be freaking out about it.

(1,787 posts)Kentucky was never in play for Dems. It's too Republican. That's why it will be very hard to unseat Moscow Mitch.

(14,856 posts)I went to some festival called "Court Days" in Kentucky as a preteen child in the 70's, and witnessed some gigantic redneck-acting guy tell an African American man standing behind me in line, "Back of the line, boy." My parents weren't with me, and it shocked me that the black guy quietly complied and nobody did a damn thing!

(52,166 posts)They are only Democrats because otherwise they have no say in their local governance. My grandmother was a Republican for the same reason though she voted for every Democrat from FDR through Obama's first election. She died in late May of 2012.
