The spending went on for months after he announced his retirement in December, then months after he stepped down in March, and has continued through September in the form of a PAC that has raised no money
Rep. Duncan Hunter went to prison for using campaign funds for personal expenses. The day he resigned in January, Meadows spent $1000 at the Capitol Hill Club, after he announced he would no longer be campaigning.

Looks like Meadows took the opportunity to funnel some campaign cash right into Trump's pocket. Typical.
I hope that Moe Davis can win Meadows' old seat!
