For the Final Presidential Debate, Trump Said He Plans to Interrupt Biden's "Chain of Thought"

President Donald Trump called in to Dumb Fux & Friends, the morning news show on Fox News, and gave a glimpse into his strategy ahead of the next (and final) presidential debate. Trump, a regular guest on the program, seemed to brush off a question about whether or not he would be as disruptive as he was in the first debate and indicated that he would once again use interruption as a strategy against Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

During his interview, Trump alleged that his mic was “stifled” in 2016 and he was written a letter of apology by the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) — something that fact-checkers say is a distortion of what actually happened. He said a debate “can never be fair” with a moderator like NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker, who is set to fill that role at the October 22 debate. That was one of several complaints Trump lodged against the CPD and moderators during an interview in which he also made clear he plans to badger Biden again this Thursday.

Trump complained about the CPD, a nonpartisan body that hosts and facilitates the debates, and about the moderators involved in the debates and the town hall he participated in last week after the second presidential debate was canceled when Trump backed out. He accused first debate host Chris Wallace (of Fox News) of teaming up with Biden and said town hall moderator Savannah Guthrie was “totally out of line.” He also lambasted Welker, the host of the third debate, as “terrible” and “totally partisan,” claiming she “cannot be neutral at all.”

Then, one of the Dumb Fux & Friends hosts asked if Trump was preparing to change his strategy at all, specifically if he would interrupt Biden less. Trump proceeded to call Biden a liar, insult 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and then defended his debate style.

Wasn't that what he was trying to do by talking over Biden?

Maybe since there's a mic cutoff switch he can make faces or drop his pants. Of course Joe's best response should be to point at Trump and laugh

Yeah, the mic cutoff doesn't stop him from distracting Biden. coti Oct 2020 #1
I'm confused as to how you think it'll help Trump lol Drunken Irishman Oct 2020 #4
All the distraction without the accountability of him clearly being obnoxious to the audience. nt coti Oct 2020 #10

In fact, maybe it just helps Trump because it dampens the effect on the audience.

Why the fuck are we still doing this shitty "debate?" The debates, as a format, have completely jumped the shark. There is no need to have the candidates in the same room or even to ask them questions at the same time. Just do interviews with similar questions!!

Biden's mike will be live. They are likely using cardioid mikes, but the sounds not right in front of the mike aren't completely inaudible.
I actually think a guy just making noise, without the actual message being discernible would sound more obnoxious to an audience at home.
His mike isn't on, he's not supposed to be talking, but we can still hear the bleating. I think that's a dreadful look.

Seems he’s stuck on one stupid strategy. Here’s a hint, genius... try actually campaigning instead of these bellyflop gimmicks.

Anyone of an authoritarian turn cannot stand is laughter directed against them. Point and laugh. Call him a clown.

Take a page from Mel Brooks. It will carry others.

Point and laugh.
