There was no mention of the emails that purported to be threats against Democrats from the Proud Boys but that appears to be the reference.

I think what was being said is that the Iranians or maybe the Russians were conducting a false flag operation trying to blame Trump supporters for threats against Democrats. It seems to me that if you're trying to spin such a complicated theory, you need to be a tad more clear.

I understand why the Iranians or Russians would want Democrats to feel threatened. What I don't really understand is how that hurts Trump.
