They've run out of track.

a Amtrak Charter is pricey. And Amtrak does not do anything for free or in kind type thing. Our Rail Club pays full fair for our outings and trust me,we have tried to pull discounts, not going to happen.

Biden's charter was likely a boon for them, and the free advertising they received over time was a nice little bonus. The tortuous logic in this letter that claims the charter somehow hurt Amtrak is just unreal.

We are concerned that the apparent use of a struggling, resource-deprived, publicly-run service for political gain does not serve the best interests of Amtrak or the American taxpayers at this time.

Then they go on: You didn't give him a discount, did you? Did he make any freight trains run late? Has anyone else ever done this? Where are the time sheets for everyone working for Amtrak who was even slightly involved? Basically: here's a long list of questions we want you to waste your time and resources answering for us. It will take many man hours and we all know it's meaningless, partisan BS on our part, but your funding could be on the line in future, so hop to it! While Amtrak may have made money from Biden's charter, we are going to cost you money by sending you out on this snipe hunt, because we are shameless, oblivious idiots blahblahblah.

Unbelievable. Biden's reply was the perfect slap back.

I'll just pull up a chair and wait for the explanation: Amtrak is "a struggling, resource-deprived, publicly-run service" according to these mental midgets. How does it hurt Amtrak to be doing cash business? I can wait.

whether tagged on the back of a Freight or a Passenger Consist,we travel by the host Railroads Time Table. If we want to stop and Sight See as a group or do Photo Ops,we get charged by the hour for Car Spotting as well as charge for rehooking on the next train going by.

Donald Trump’s campaign committee has not paid at least 10 bills — totaling more than $841,000 — sent to it by municipal governments to cover public safety costs associated with Trump campaign rallies.
.
.
Some invoices are three years old.

.
.
"America’s police officers have earned the everlasting gratitude of our nation,” Trump said in October.

Trump’s campaign certainly has the money to pay cities’ police bills: it reported nearly $40.8 million cash on hand, as of March 31, according to federal records.

There's a search function at the link for as many as 57 cities.

Consider the source.

We have had to live with their bullshit here for many years, since they Gerrymandered the state way back years ago.

Another example of Minority Rule.

I hope they all choke on their cornflakes.

over Amtrak. That among other things is why Amtrak often runs late. Also, most of
the Amtrak charters I have seen are attached to the rear of the regular Amtrak train cars,
although I guess you could charter the entire train, engines and all. Only time I have seen that
is when the railroad execs have their own train.
