My big worry on election day is some Trumpist(s) will commit violence at a polling place

They might try to dress/act like a Biden person, but it won't be.

If there were bad violence at a polling place early in the day, and it ended up all over the news all day long?

It gives Trump exactly the sort of excuse he's counting on to claim the whole thing was illegitimate. Even if it's one of his own people.

He will claim that the media scared 'everyone' from going and voting and that therefore he wants a do-over.

If this occurs to ME ... I'm very sure it would occur to many of his knuckle-dragging supporters if it looks like he's for sure going to lose by the time that day comes around.

I really, really pray (ya know, in the way that I do) that things are peaceful on Election Day. I'm honestly worried they won't be. I absolutely do not trust those people that support him.

...it will very likely be the last thing they freely do.

4. There are PLENTY of his supporters willing to lay down their meaningless lives for that guy

The idea they won't make it out alive won't bother a certain % of the dead-enders one bit.

...stark-raving lunatics willing to go that distance, I don't doubt. I hope it's worth it to their families. The people will vote, inevitably.

2. Violence by a MAGAT at the polls on Election Day

hurts Trump more. I am more concerned about a MAGABomber Rev 2 tying up mail delivery in key Florida precincts. That is why I suggest that people hand carry their completed ballots to their county elections office BEFORE Election Day. In Florida ballots get counted as soon as they are accepted.

3. The votes should be cast as much as possible prior to the election deadline.

I'm sure that much is obvious. There is no "do over." That's the stuff that would cause the disintegration of the modern US political system.

5. I'm not suggesting that gambit has any chance of working, if it went down that way ...

But just really want this to BE OVER ON NOVEMBER 3rd or VERY CLOSE to that date. I need it, frankly.

I really, really don't want him to have even the slightest fucking reasonable excuse for throwing our Nation into any more turmoil over this election when he loses.

Something like a mass casualty event at a polling place early in the day? He would SEIZE on that in a second. And the friggin M$M would go right along with at least debating, if not in some cases legitimizing (well, Fox for SURE, day and night) the idea that he was cheated because it makes for eyeballs and clicks.

It could create a very very volatile situation, and I'm definitely concerned about it.

7. I get the concern about the far right.

That is where there is law enforcement and, I think more importantly, the people in resistance who can defeat them. I am hopeful that there are plenty of progressive-minded people prepared.

But I think the impact would be greater on Trump voters. If there’s some sort of attack on or around polling places it’s going to scare people off from voting in person ... and Trump is counting on those in person votes.

I really hope nothing bad happens. It just seems Trump is priming these extremists to commit violence on his behalf.

Vote EARLY!!!!
