The debate was Trump's last chance and he failed

All the post debate polls show Biden won by double digits. Trump did nothing to change the dynamics of the race. This was his last chance and he failed. 11 days to go. Joe has his 67 Corvette gassed up and ready to go. Slam that gas peddle to the floor, peel out those tires and it is victory or bust full speed ahead. Go Joe Go!

Just the usual double think, double talk and blame shifting.

Joe said: Can We Fix It? Yes We Can!

At least, that's what I heard.

You may have noticed that no one heard much or understood much or remember much about the new jobs in the new fields of wind and solar energy generation advertised by Al Gore. That's because his message, legitimate and important, full of answers and hope for a bright future, were cruelly shouted down by the incessant mooing and bleating of fossil fuel interests. Those interests may be wounded a bit these days but, until they've divested from petro/coal and moved their portfolios over to renewables, they still carry much weight with the low-info folks who, unfortunately, never miss an opportunity to vote.

Worth remembering I guess.

Trump certainly didn't give the breakout, dynamics-changing performance that he needed, but he really wasn't capable of that. At best, he showed that he can moderate his behavior slightly, while the core person continues to be repugnant. We must take nothing for granted, however, and comtinue to press hard to bring Joe to victory and win our country back!

Just because OrangeAss somewhat muted that core repugnancy doesn't mean that he suddenly turned into a normal person, and he certainly didn't turn into a good person. He isn't presidential, and he can't fake it. Never could.

On top of multiple October surprises could save this president. He fumbled the Covid response so badly that there never was any coming back. They only have voter suppression and dirty tricks in their bag at this point.

That formula alone or ensemble with a few palatable lies, has sneaked them into the victory circle twice, so far, this millennia. The political weather from this station is still plenty cloudy with a fighting chance of blue sky.

We plan on early voting either today of next Tuesday. Polls pretty crowded all this week so far. The GOP game plan is, I gather, to claim that the majority of voters (all Republicans of course) will vote on Nov. 3rd. If for no other reason than to twist some sort of voter undercount or suppression or over counted mail-ins to make the final count a job for the state courts or the congress' 50 votes. Or the mobs, like in 2000, that worked out so well.

The only way he can persuade the small percent of undecided voters is for them to believe those lies.

That’s all I could see. A guy twisting himself in knots making weird faces and tossing out random words that maybe made sense to his Pavlovian-trained supporters. And then there was the exaggerated mouth movements. He started Pursing his mouth into a huge “O” like a proud baby blowing bubbles. He didn’t flip anything there.

Long and sticky and draggy, that he has so revealed the poison which is the GOP brand that voters in sufficient number shudder even to blacken the blank oval for a Repugnican dog catcher.
