Just wondering how far you think Alito/Barrett/Thomas/Kav/Gor will go for their master post-elx?

On a scale of 1/10, with 1 being invalidating ballots with ‘discrepant’ signatures and 10 being mandating Toad become President through ordering Speaker Pelosi to hold a contingent election in the house?

I vote that they don’t even agree to hear a single national post-election case!

I originally thought either Gorsuch or Kavanaugh would join Roberts and balk at going all the way toward SCOTUS Coup, but their votes last week make it clear they have no such compunctions.

Right now, I think they’ll do everything they can to keep 45 in power, maybe short of ordering the clear, original words of the Constitution be set aside. Maybe.

their super majority is not endangered by Biden. Self interest above country is what I expect from them.

Lord I hope the vote is a shellackin’

He's concerned about the legacy of "his" court and he's not about to throw that away for Trump. It doesn't matter how the court leans if they don't take the cases.

They're also not going to take frivolous cases. Anything Trump does in light of a decisive win would be frivolous.

regardless of how much he loses by...they will cite Bush v. Gore and state that it would be harmful to him to not be president and give it to him.

I guess that's a 10.

I don't trust them. At. All.

And we know that's why Handmaid Amy is being put on the court.

Bush v Gore was about counting in Florida. It had a basis, if a flawed one. They aren't just going to anoint him president.

they are not judges anymore, they are Republican functionaries put in place to protect that orange man and his minions.

I don't believe the Supreme Court in its current form is anything but a rubber stamp for whatever orange hitler wants.

No one is going to believe he should be anointed for the good of the country.

Pipe dreams should be left to Trump.

frankly, my DH and I have had many discussions in the last four years.

I say "this will happen" he says "No, that would NEVER happen". Then weeks or months later, it happens.

But, Barrett was put on the court to be his backstop and I believe she'll do whatever she's told and I have no reason to believe that Alito, Thomas, Kavenaugh, or Gorsuch have any ethics or care for the rule of law.

I think they were willing to weigh in before. But after seems to late. If they start allow large amounts of votes to be "uncounted" or eliminated, I think they will undermine their legitimacy.

Also, the fact that so many Republicans seem to be moving away from Trump gives them cover.

I think lots of Republicans in Washington want the Trumps out. They are like termites.
