He'll be a puddle of black goo at the desk continuing to not forward legislation in the chamber.

but I believe the Gov. could appoint someone to finish out his term and then they would have to run for re-election.

Hope this helps.

Here in AZ, the Gov is bound by law to appoint someone from the same party that the Sen. was in.

one that I don't know the answer, but I would hazard a guess that could be done.

For example, if a Republican Senator reigned and the governor was a Democrat, the state Republican Party would give the governor a list of three candidates to choose from.

In other states, the person they pick would have to be registered in that Party for 10-15 years minimum.

Gubernatorial appointment

In 37 states (listed below), U.S. Senate vacancies are temporarily filled by gubernatorial appointment. The appointee serves until the next statewide general election is held; the winner in that election serves out the remainder of the term.

Democratic governor Andy Beshear would get to appoint McConnell's replacement if McConnell is unable to complete his term. I am not sure what would happen if McConnell left office for disease or death after the election and he had won re-election. If his opponent won, Beshear would probably just leave the seat open until the electee is sworn in.

hibernate. As the temperature and oxygen levels drop, their metabolism slows and their bodies adapt.

The annual adaptation puts a strain on the turtle, and sadly every year some turtles - particularly older turtles with an illness or disability that prevents them from competing vigorously for food and sunny spots on the shore of their home pond - succumb
