(796 posts)The point is they do not to have to 'win'. They win simply by creating chaos and distrust. And endless delays. The courts now are pro=trump authoritarianism. As trump has done before, he will will ignore any decisions he does not like. There is little to stop him.
Trumpists feel great by violating every norm.

(58,785 posts)and so on, for some time. I'd really hate to be proven wrong more than usual, but Trump's idea of scorched earth may be somewhat less than mine. I think he's a dangerous coward, afraid to do anything that would endanger him.
He just seemingly threatened to settle scores with some Republican senators by saying he couldn't support them without losing his "soul."
And then there is the populace who have failed him so badly that he will always need to exact still more revenge on. But he's already headed for a half million dead there, doing his best to make the ACA's previous conditions coverage and eventually other social programs unconstitutional, and much else people don't seem to suspect may be narcissistic rage-induced vengeance.

"Nope, there will be a time after you Donald, and we remember the lesson from the Nuremberg trials. Just following orders won't get us off the hook. So sorry, no can do. '
Best to hide the Nuclear Football though, or change the launch codes. Just to be sure . . .
