2. I'm sorry but I don't think anyone can "crush covid".

At best we try as quickly as possibly to support the medical community . They are breaking. The daily suffering in front of them. The risk of catching it. The sacrifices they have to make to quarantine from their own family for nearly a year now. The non-hospital doctors and medical staff losing business because the entire rest of medicine is in limbo while we fight covid.

The people currently refusing to mask up and limit reasons to go out to the necessary only aren't going to magically start. As a nation, we aren't going to start slapping people in ankle monitors or jail if they refuse to comply. The spread will just continue until a viable vaccine or we are all dead.

Biden will support school, public building, business upgrades to make them safer. He will support people stuck out of work. He will push for tax credit and cash payments to give everyone better choices so we can live through this instead of die through this.

But the covid doesn't just go away on Nov 4.

4. Biden will do better than Trump, but this is not going away.

Many Trumpers will abandon him after election day, but the reasons they were drawn to him remain.

They will double down on not wearing masks, even if mandates are put in place.

They will defy the so-called socialist, far-left Biden, and take pleasure in doing so.

We will never get rid of the virus, nor the deplorables who will spread it.

7. There's almost 9 million positive tests in US now

And Drumpf has quit. There’s 87 days till Jan. 20. At current rates, there’ll likely be 5 million more by then. Some states are already at full ICU capacity. Covid-19 is crushing us thanks to a complete failure of leadership. Worse, large numbers of MAGAts have been brainwashed to actively resist anything Biden and the scientists say is necessary.

8. He'll do as well as anyone can in a country too stupid to work

together to minimize unnecessary deaths. He’ll respond to after-effects like slow economy, lost education, etc. But it’s not going to be easy.

And he’ll rectify trump’s failed domestic and international policies.

9. In all honesty he will only be able to do so much.

Republican Governors refuse to have mask mandates, or limit in person gatherings, and I doubt Biden will be able to get them to change. There will still be denial and outright lies from the Ignorant Right about the virus.

Until there is a safe and highly effective vaccine, little will change.
