is of benefit? I am capable of forming my own opinions and gathering my news and information without a bunch of blathering talking heads filling airtime for ratings.

4. I don't like him,either, so if I'm watching MSNBC

and Chuck Todd's show comes on, I turn it over to CNN. He irritates me with the way he continually interrupts his guests while they're trying to answer his questions, and I don't see why he ever had his own show in the first place. If everyone who doesn't like him will start changing the channel to CNN when he comes on, it will have an effect on MSNBC's programming.

and MSNBC needs to know.

Obviously, they knew he was already under performing, which is why they moved his timeslot.

They gave Todd Meet the Press, because the previous guy, David Gregory, was also really bad at it and either quit or was fired.

Gregory is now on CNN.

Cable noise is simply infotainment no matter who is in the timeslot. It is there to fill airtime between ads for drugs we never knew we needed. It brushes up against journalism occasionally, but is mostly just BS.

But, I normally think of news shows as being just the news.
