We know he's capable of ANYTHING and we all know he will do his best to incite violence.

One pundit (can't remember who) used the phrase "soft Civil War." We're in one now and once Trump loses, you can be sure he will do everything possible to fill the streets of America with his feeble-minded thugs seeking revenge for the "rigged election." But feeble-minded or not, they are a danger to all of us and to our democracy.

We know that FBI Director Christopher Wray will do everything in his power to head off any insanity the beast may unleash. (Unless the beast fires him.) And most of the burden will fall on town/city/state police and county sheriff's offices.

But there is another scenario. Once "Dear Leader" is defeated, most of his loud mouthed, ignorant minority base will go into a state of shock and curse "Godless Democrats," or Hillary, or George Soros, or Satan, or whoever. Only the truly crazed will "take to the streets." The reality is that they are a small minority who believe they can change the outcome of the election with their guns. They can't. I believe our democracy is much stronger than Trump or the corrupt, criminal Republican Party think it is. And I think they will crawl back under their fucking rocks for the next generation or two.

I believe in the second scenario which may make me overly optimistic. But, we're really talking about a small number of Trump cultists who can't make the Fourth Reich come into being. Many of them will end up in jail. And over time, people will start to ignore the rantings of the mad orange creature. I think that will come about much sooner than he thinks.
