Washington gubernatorial candidate responds to COVID concerns about his rally

CAMAS, Wash. — Washington gubernatorial candidate Loren Culp brushed off concern from health officials worried his campaign event Saturday night had the possibility of becoming a super-spreader event.

“As far as super-spreader, come on. We got less than 1% of the population that’s even affected by this," said Culp, referring to the number of confirmed infections in comparison to the US population. “We need to be safe, but we don’t need to be living in fear. This is a virus that has killed less than 1% of our population. Any death is terrible.”

The Republican is running against Washington Governor Jay Inslee this year and hosted a concert and campaign rally at the Camas Meadows Golf Course Saturday.

Culp says he and his supporters know how to stay safe, and KATU News did see people wearing masks, while many separated themselves, but that was not the case the entire time.

Culp is a fucking dolt. 1% of America is 3.5 million people. So he's saying he'd care if it killed over that number?

He will be absolutely crushed by Inslee. And then Inslee will take a Cabinet Position in DC, and Denny Heck will be Governor, and I'll point and laugh at the WA State GOP like I have for decades.
