To be clear: There isn't a *single* state that certifies its results *on* Election Day. When elections are called, it's because of media *projections,* not the "final total." Indeed, federal law gives states at least five *weeks* to certify their results:

Trump has no legal grounds to stop counting on 11/3, SCOTUS has no jurisdiction. Nt Fiendish Thingy Oct 2020 #8

But Trump better be careful what he wishes for. It's possible Biden is up in a lot of states by the end of Tuesday night.

...and we better get used to a lot of examples of the "originalist" SCOTUS essentially re-writing the Constitution to make sure Trump gets another term.

Is that the state law that requires that ballots be received by election night. So essentially the Supreme Court upheld the state law. I am not sure if that was a long standing law, or if it is something that Snotty Walker & Robin Vos forced through prior to Tony Evers.

If they arrive by 11/3, they can be counted anytime up to 12/8 to meet the safe harbour date.

Ballots arriving after 11/3 are rejected, but that is a separate issue.
