We've been beating down these snakes with a hoe for 40 years

I got involved with Planned Parenthood and NARAL as far back at 1976, when the Republicans first included anti-choice language in their platform. Since the election of 1980, it’s been one battle after the other.

Looks like the skirmishes are over and the war is finally on. It was only a matter of time. I cannot even imagine how intense the next few years will be, but I think we’re up for the fight. This is a country used to rights being given, not taken away.

Cerridwen here also called me out by my name. I think it means something to have two DUers meet me like this on a very late night when I haven’t been able to sleep. It feels profound because I have been reflecting on a concatenation of events to do with the Triple Goddess and the feminine powers, both personal and political.

Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again.
