Trump campaign on Bloomberg Florida TV ad story: "Our ad buying week by week in the state has been consistent, and the reporting on this issue demonstrates a clear misunderstanding of how ad buying works."

Bloomberg reported that Trump campaign pulled out of TV ads in Florida. It appears that the TV money was simply reallocated from the Trump campaign to the RNC (which are essentially the same).

(14,825 posts)They cut their spend rate months ago. They have had ads booked and have been cancelling them as the bills come due prior to broadcast. These ads are not being picked up by the rnc, they are just being canceled. Not all ads, but the lions share of what was booked early on when they thought they would have money.
What they are suggesting would be a dumb move. The campaign got very preferential pricing by booking early. The gop won't get those rates rebooking late.
So by saying they are being consistent, they are telling the truth (partially), they are continuing to spend at consistently paltry levels.
