British Antibody Study Shows No 'Herd Immunity' For COVID-19

.

You get it, the anitbodies go away and you get it again.

Dr. Hilary Jones delivered some bad news to the viewers of Good Morning Britain:
HILARY JONES: Unfortunately, it looks like herd immunity is a long way off. Those people who have been hoping and relying on the concept of herd immunity, their concerns are going to be certainly heightened after this study.

This is a big study. 350,000 people tested on numerous occasions to look at their antibody levels and the trouble is, those antibodies that should give protection over Covid-19 wane over a period of time. They wane faster in the more vulnerable groups - the people over 55. The antibodies aren’t there in such a prevalent manner in that age group and they wane quicker. The prevalence of antibodies is greater in the 18-24-year-old age group and they hang open to their antibodies longer.

Scientists in Britain are suggesting that COVID behaves like a super-flu, and that individuals may need a shot a year or maybe even two shots a year, to remain immune from this strain of COVID.

Personally, I'm thinking that repeated vaccinations (over years) would eventually build up some long term immunity. To where only an annual shot would be required. Similar to how allergy shots work. The difference being allergy treatment is to reduce sensitivity and vaccinations are to build up a healthy response to exposure.

Purely speculation on my part.

People were pretty upset at the authorities too, regarding this "let the CV rage across the Country, it'll be good for us in the long run".

What the authorities didn't plan for or say out loud is that lots more will die than ever expected.

The Swedish COVID-19 experiment of not implementing early and strong measures to safeguard the population has been hotly debated around the world, but at this point we can predict it is almost certain to result in a net failure in terms of death and suffering. As of Oct. 13, Sweden’s per capita death rate is 58.4 per 100,000 people, according to Johns Hopkins University data, 12th highest in the world (not including tiny Andorra and San Marino). But perhaps more striking are the findings of a study published Oct. 12 in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which pointed out that, of the countries the researchers investigated, Sweden and the U.S. essentially make up a category of two: they are the only countries with high overall mortality rates that failed to rapidly reduce those numbers as the pandemic progressed.

We should be proud. Identifying and quantifying what doesn't work can be as important as identifying what does.

World leader still! (Though, worrisomely, Russia new daily case count is threatening to beat ours.)

The GOP death cult will deny the report and continue stoking the pandemic.

water plants in the front..waved and approached..hubby had just stepped out as well..turns out it was our builders wife..(built 2006)..nice lady, just back from Minnesota to AZ..chit chat..well, she went there..while hubby did his rant dance..seriously, many times..bobby, STOP!..Okay okay he says...he was saying the pos just lies, and lies..he said do you know 200,00+ people are dead..

Then this nice lady says, "I think we need to build up an immunity", and I very nicely but assertive explain, there is NO immunity..and "I don't think the pos contracted covid19...the amazed look at me, like I WAS THE CRAZY ONE!!!

Perhaps I am...but to hear this lady say we need to endure the virus, covid19, to build immunity..CRAY CRAY..

This report is important..

... about how he's immune now (infected way back in April), an excuse for him to be reckless and also whine that his employer makes him wear a mask.

No anti-bodies. Not all had had covid, but we had expected more asymptotic exposures. Not a study, small snapshot.

Here's a good link not really getting into the t and b cells, but that SARS COVID (the first one) infected people still show immunity 17 years later, and that's the closest to SARS COVID19 we have.
