Iowa elections officials asking polling workers to self-quarantine 'til Tuesday due to spiking C-19

Elections officials in Iowa are worried about the state’s rising number of coronavirus cases, saying that any illnesses or absences among key workers and volunteers could hinder their services through Election Day.

A week before the election, Iowa is reporting a new high 7-day average of about 1,300 daily infections, record numbers of hospitalizations and a surge in deaths.

Scott County Auditor Roxanna Moritz said she’s asked her employees and polling place workers to self-quarantine until Tuesday to avoid the possibility of catching the virus.

You could probably say that about anywhere. Some of these poll workers are going to get sick before election day, which is why, if you have early voting available to you, it would be recommended that you take advantage of it sooner than later.

And handing advantage to the Dems, who were smart enough to vote early.

3. I was more addressing the spike in cases and the number of Iowans who are sick.

Sick because Reynolds has refused to put in place any meaningful state mandated measures. In fact, she forced schools to provide in class learning to at least 50% of students. Covid is now a huge presence in the high schools. She is an idiot.

The fact that republicans bad mouthed mail-in voting and now those who failed to vote by mail will have no choice but to go out on Election Day is a problem they created for themselves. Every democrat I know voted by mail and has tracked their ballots, which are all at the auditors' offices.

I really pray the Democrats have the last laugh.
