"SNIP.....
Heres an example of how profoundly coronavirus is shaping the presidential race.
A month ago, Democratic nominee Joe Biden was leading President Trump in Wisconsin. A Washington Post-ABC News poll found his lead to be about six points. That was significant, but not so big that Trump couldnt close the gap.
The newest version of that poll finds that Bidens lead over Trump in Wisconsin is now 17 points. How come?
Over the past month, coronavirus infections have risen in Wisconsin, so much so that the states governor has been pleading with people to stay apart. That new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds that 70 percent of voters there said they are very or somewhat concerned about themselves or their family members getting the virus.

(26,045 posts)...considering that the Marquette poll released the same day had only Biden +5, with Joe under 50% and lots of voters still undecided (in other words, pretty much the same as the final polls there four years ago). Id say its probable that both are outliers, in opposite directions.

(118,832 posts)was all for masks in April - May when the scientists reccomended it. He was going to make Trump masks. Then the interweb started to reject mask wearing. Was Trump being led by the ignorant base or was it eugenics and astroturfing by the powers that be? Whomever it was they won.
