think that supporting a cowardly, petulant, whiny, snowflake of an excuse for a human makes them seem tough. "Trump'll show them librulz!" "Trump'll show them muslims!" "Trump'll show them ________!" Supporting a bully makes them feel tough, when they think being tough is important for their self identity.
That's why you hear shit like: "I ain't gonna vote for a p___y like Biden!" even though, in a toughness contest, the Vegas odds would have Joe up 10000:1 favorite.
They didn't get the memo that bullying doesn't make you tough. They didn't hear that picking on people smaller/weaker than yourself doesn't prove toughness--in fact it proves the opposite--that you can't stand up to anyone as tough or tougher than you.
To get nerdy for a minute: they didn't get the memo that Steve Rodgers was picked to take the Captain America experiment because he was willing to stand up against people tougher than himself, for ideals greater than himself, and THAT's what made him a hero. Trump will only bully those weaker than himself, for things that benefit himself, which is exactly the opposite. Even if Joe Biden was Steve Rodgers BEFORE becoming Captain America, he'd still be 100x the "tough guy" compared to T.rump.
