Biden Drive in Rally starts in less than an hour at the Iowa State Fairgrounds

Nothing on the county or state party facebook pages.
No emails to volunteers or sustainers.
Des Moines Register published story at 9:39 (1 hour, 20 minutes) before the start of the rally.
I'm a volunteer and a sustainer for both groups and received no advanced information.

Were other Drive In Rallies this poorly announced?

One is also scheduled for St. Paul this evening but I can't find any information as to where it is. I wouldn't go anyhow because I hate traffic, and maybe these are invite-only events, but live-streamed.

And he would do it differently. The press will cover the speech, many will be safe at home watching and those attending won't be stranded in the cold.

The fact that they can be thrown together quickly have a big press impact and make the social distancing point is a gift.

As an aside I haven't been to the Iowa Fairgrounds in decades. Maybe because the last time a late arriving Chuck-wagon took a shortcut to get in line and cut my main Audio and Lighting snakes right before the Black Oak Arkansas show. Sitting in the middle of a dirt track matching and soldering hundreds of little wires as the crowd arrives, leaves a lasting negative impression.
