still hold out hope of getting their property back from the Castro government? I have yet to understand why it isn't in the interests of Cuban-Americans to reestablish normalized relations with Cuba. There will be no quicker way to bring a market economy back to Cuba (and hopefully a more Democratic country) than open relations with Cuba.

The bay of pigs was in 63. The revolution ended in 59, but most exiles left much earlier I would imagine. So unless they were toddlers during the revolution, they have to be in their 80's or more by now.

Still, there are supposed to be about 900k of them in miami/dade. But how many are first generation, revolution exiles?
