The keyword in that phrase is "silent". It means "shut the fuck up". You are not the silent majority. You are the loud, violent and obnoxious minority. If you actually were not silent, that would be one thing. But you're not. You're the sports fans that everyone else hates because you constantly brag about how good your team is and that the leaders can do no wrong, and make it very uncomfortable for others to be around you.

You are the ones who start fights at rallies and then blame it on the people who you bully. You are the ones who walk out of debates - if you even decide to debate at all. You are the ones who who disrupt otherwise peaceful gatherings. You are the ones who make up bullshit scandals and repeat it ad nauseum despite that they've been debunked hundreds of times over. You are the ones who demean and belittle your opponents, calling us kindergarten names like snowflakes because your brain is so riddled with hate that you can't think of anything else. You're obsessed with making the other side cry and lose their minds, and then you get mad when it backfires on you and you lose your job or go to jail.

If you actually were silent, you wouldn't be doing any of this, and we could ignore it more easily. But you don't. You are not silent in any way, shape, or form. You are loud and unavoidable. You have two 24 hour news networks at your disposal, hundreds of AM radio stations and nearly all local TV stations echoing right wing talking points every single day of the year.

You have a president who doesn't shut up either. He talks a good game, I will give him that. But that's all that he has - is talk. He won't shut up about anything, and he says shit - whether it's true or not - just to get a rise out of people.

If you want to be the "silent majority", try actually being silent for once and not loud and angry all the time. It's good for you. Until then shut the fuck up.
