Facebook busy deleting anti-Trump groups

while pro-Trump groups are given a free pass.

I was a member of several anti-Trump groups, including LOCK HIM UP and A Skunk Named Trump, which had up to 8,000 members each, and all of them have disappeared in the last couple of weeks, including today. Meanwhile Trump supporter groups have been left untouched...

Too many people, too many DUers included, can't imagine life without Facebook and they rationalize it to the Nth degree. Seems people have forgotten there are other ways to stay in touch.

i don't think drumpf and zuck had all those private meals together a few years ago to talk about cookie recipes.

i look forward to a new administration bringing down some serious regulations on facebook and/or tearing the whole damn thing to shreds with an anti-trust suit.

between anti-Trump and pro-Trump groups. It would be more valid to compare anti-Trump to anti-Biden groups or pro-Trump to pro-Biden groups. Meanwhile, I haven't seen any of the anti-Trump groups. It is possible that some of them originated from foreign countries, like the anti-Hillary groups we saw in 2016. Names like "LOCK HIM UP" and "A Skunk Named Trump" sound very suspicious to me and its possible they were created just to be disruptive.

All the anti Trump sentiments I've seen have been primarily on groups that are FOR Joe Biden and Democrats.

Edit to add, this is not a defense of Facebook, this is just pointing out that these groups could have been deleted for other reasons that aren't apparent to us.

The social media companies should severely limit political messages from all parties. They are an easily manipulated amplifier for misinformation. Let's get the politics moved to the news media companies so at least there is some semblance of control. Normally it's mostly an annoyance, but we've seen how it can affect public health emergencies and free and fair elections. This is the 2020 equivalent of yelling FIRE in a movie theater, it is not protected free speech in my opinion. To cut off the right arm we will have to sacrifice the left arm here.

They've already put controls in place for 2020 and the situation is much better than 2016 (see "Hunter Biden laptop" ).
