2. Because who else is taking care of the kids in their own homes? One story that really galled me...

...was the announcement some months ago that (forgive me if I get one or two details wrong) Florida university would continue online classes BUT there was to be no indication whatsoever that children were in the space or near the space.

Now how many of us over this year have gone awww over cats and dogs in the background on news programs? How many of us have felt our hearts warmed by an errant child or grandchild wandering through? Even a US Senator was heard to tell her toddler to go potty & wash her hands while in a Senate meeting held via Zoom.

And how many of us noticed that Florida’s university just dumped every woman off the tenure track?

Women’s careers and livelihoods in this country are taking a big hit. No school, no federal financial support, food getting low. It’s Catch 22 and worse.
