(34,661 posts)noticed at least one Hit and Run on the Campaign support SUV. Could not tell if the Bus was bumped or not. Thought it appeared the Bus did lurch to the right at least once.

(18,145 posts)But in reality, these nuts in their pick-em-up trucks can't do much to a bus of that size. Simple physics. I wonder if the driver had half a notion to let physics take it's course.

(15,325 posts)Luckily they didn't pull it off because somebody would have ben seriously hurt.... Just watch the vids. Big black truck hit a smaller car and forced it over. Right behind the bus.

(34,661 posts)as some one who jockeyed a few of those suckers. Getting tapped on on either one of the rear corners, will dump you ass over teakettle. The Black Ford King Ranch kissed off the SUV and came back to align with the Drivers Side Rear Corner. Can not tell if he tapped or not,the Bus did a squirm.

Highway patrol says its legal now to ram other cars?
City manager needs to answer more fully.

(8,061 posts)Swerving across lanes, following too closely, cutting off the bus, making contact with an accompanying car, etc. Intentionally driving recklessly, intentionally creating a distraction and hazard, intentionally endangering the bus/car and everyone else on the highway. There's no way to watch the video and conclude otherwise--but I'm prepared to be disappointed nonetheless.

But then again, look at how many ignore the obvious of BunkerBoy's entire regime.........

(32,981 posts)All the others, hit and run, illegal lane change, following to close and even honking, or improper use of a horn are state infractions.

(11,602 posts)including reckless or endangerment -- that is all state.
Their focus would be on political/campaign suppression, voter suppression, infringement and the like. The sole exception might be if they conceivably go for something like domestic terrorism -- but you have to count that as a real stretch.

(16,095 posts)I would think Biden would've asked for one.

(11,602 posts)and the Biden/Harris campaign shouldn't even need to ASK.
(Other hand .. state of TX ought to be handing out a fist full of suspensions and tickets for reckless endangerment (and other violations) .. which is usually considerable a pretty serious offense by courts and DMVs.)

(1,650 posts)Driver's involvement with previous attacks on protesters outside of Texas has turned this into an interstate issue involving attempted vehicular homicide. That's DEFINITELY within the FBI's warrant, especially given the political nature of the crime. It also may involve investigation into the Texas State Patrol. This could be fun.
stopdiggin
(11,602 posts)(on the part of the FBI) goes beyond a single individual. I think your point on the political nature is probably a better fit. I, personally, would like to see some focus on some "organizers" and ringleaders for this little stunt. Hmm? Like some Republican operatives?
whatever it turns out to be -- hope it's fast track and high priority!

In late May and early June 2020, two ambush-style attacks occurred against security personnel and law enforcement officers in California. The attacks left two dead and injured three others.
The attacks began on May 29, when a drive-by shooting occurred in front of a federal courthouse in Oakland, resulting in the death of a security officer contracted with the Federal Protective Service. Over a week later on June 6, Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies were shot at and also attacked with improvised explosive devices; one of them died as a result.
U.S. Air Force sergeant Steven Carrillo was arrested soon after the second attack. A second suspect, Robert Justus, surrendered to authorities five days later. The FBI indicated that Carrillo was associated with the boogaloo movement, a loosely organized American far-right extremist movement whose participants say they are preparing for a second civil war.[1][2][3] Carrillo used the George Floyd protests as a cover to attack police officers, according to the FBI.[4] A white van owned by Carrillo contained a ballistic vest with a patch bearing boogaloo symbolism. Carrillo is alleged to have written "boog" and the phrase "I became unreasonable" (a popular meme among boogaloo groups) in his own blood on the hood of a vehicle he hijacked.[5] According to federal authorities, the suspects were motivated by the boogaloo movement's ideology, and allegedly intended to spread its extremist views and start a race war.[6][7]
