let's get brutally honest. This is not about trying to fill the big gap in the budget left even after the loopholes for the wealthy are removed with taking away middle class tax deductions. It really means that SS will be raided one last time and this is the vehicle for doing it. SS and Medicare will be decimated by a Romney and Ryan administration to preserve the huge grasp on wealth that the 1% now have. In 2000, I used to post on the Capitol Grilling website and a Republican came on after the theft of the election was firmly entrenched and literally crowed about how now they could roll back the clock and destroy the New Deal. That has stuck with me all these years. At the time I thought we could stop it--that enough people would just wake up and start tracking on the detail. I must admit that I underestimated the amount of corruption that existed within government and the media.
