Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day, Kate, my wife and I went into town and visited a shop.

When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him an “asshole” . He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires.

So Kate called him a “shit head”. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing more tickets. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home. We always look for cars with "ROMNEY 2012" stickers. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

I'd love to replicate this but it's not often that I happen to see a
cop writing a ticket for a car w/ Romney/Ryan bumper sticker.

..but I am actually "retired" so that's a good start ... I'll keep
my eyes pealed for just such an opportunity.

Best laugh of the DAY. I'm going to do that if I ever get a chance. However, I don't see many stickers for either candidate now. A few Romney signs and less for Obama.

I have my sticker on my van, but I am afraid some idiot might run me down.

chalk it to being a nice INDEPENDENT voter and not a partisan voter.

Suffice it to say, if a story like this was for real in my town, I think the paper would run it, as the kind of shenanigans that should not be happening, period. Oh and that is regardless of party.

I know it is a metaphor, a real cop would have asked them for ID for starters... and given them a ticket for a misdemeanor (interfering with a police officer)... that would be all kinds of hoots I tell you,
