A few months (8-12?) ago I read an article that described how an online game (I think it was EVE: Online) had imposed what amounted to a gold standard in their in-game economy, and how all of the problems with a gold standard that were known in the real world arose in the game. The description of the phenomenon was described by a center/left blogger, but I can't remember who - Matthew Yglesias? Ezra Klein? Does anyone else remember this article? I'd like to find it again for a debate I'm having about the gold standard and its problems with a Paulite. Many thanks, Google is not helping me.
